Tindo Solar Adopts Ooitech NDC Cell Cutting and Auto Bussing Solutions in 2021
Tindo Solar Upgrades Manufacturing with Ooitech NDC Cutting and Auto Bussing Technology
In 2021, Australia-based solar panel manufacturer Tindo Solar moved to upgrade its production line by adopting advanced equipment solutions from Ooitech. The partnership centered on two key technologies: a waterless, non-destructive NDC (Non-Destructive Cutting) laser cell cutting system and a fully automatic solar string bussing solution.
Why NDC Matters
Traditional laser cutting methods often involve water cooling or generate micro-cracks that compromise cell integrity. The NDC approach eliminates both issues. Without water or mechanical stress, cells maintain their original electrical performance and structural strength — a meaningful improvement for long-term module reliability.
Tindo Solar, known as one of the few solar panel manufacturers operating in Australia, selected this solution to keep its production quality on par with global standards while maintaining localized manufacturing.
Fully Automatic String Bussing
Alongside the cutting upgrade, Tindo also integrated Ooitech's automatic string bussing system. This replaced manual or semi-automatic bussing steps, improving throughput consistency and reducing labor dependency on the factory floor.
The combination of these two solutions allowed Tindo Solar to streamline its module assembly workflow from cell preparation through to string interconnection, supporting higher yield rates and tighter quality control.
The collaboration highlighted a growing trend among regional solar manufacturers seeking turnkey or modular equipment upgrades from specialized suppliers rather than building entire new production lines from scratch.
