Acutech Solar 5MW Semi-Automatic Production Line — Pune, India

Back in 2015, Acutech Solar in Pune, India decided to set up their own solar panel manufacturing facility. After evaluating several equipment suppliers, they chose Ooitech as their partner and purchased a complete 5MW semi-automatic solar panel production line.

Project Background

At that time, India's solar industry was picking up speed, and Acutech Solar wanted to get into module manufacturing rather than just importing finished panels. A 5MW semi-auto line was a practical starting point — affordable investment with decent output for the local market.

Equipment Scope

The production line covered the full process from cell tabbing and stringing through layup, lamination, framing, and final testing. Key machines included solar cell tabber stringer, layup station, laminator, framing machine, EL tester, and sun simulator. All equipment was designed for standard crystalline silicon modules.

Project Delivery

Ooitech handled equipment manufacturing, shipping, on-site installation, commissioning, and operator training in Pune. The whole line was up and running smoothly, enabling Acutech Solar to produce quality solar panels locally.

This project marked one of Ooitech's early successes in the Indian market and helped Acutech Solar build a solid foundation in solar module manufacturing.
