Poland Adopts Ooitech 60MW Full Automatic Solar Panel Production Line
Poland Launches 60MW Full Automatic Solar Panel Production Line

A Polish manufacturer has officially adopted a 60MW full automatic solar panel production line, signaling growing momentum in Europe's push to localize solar module manufacturing.
The production line, supplied by Ooitech, covers the entire module assembly process — from cell laser cutting and tabbing & stringing to layup, bussing, EL testing, lamination, framing, and final IV testing. The fully automated setup is designed to minimize manual intervention while maintaining high throughput and consistent quality output.
Why This Matters for European Solar Manufacturing
Europe has been actively working to reduce its dependence on imported solar modules. Poland, with its competitive labor costs and strategic location within the EU, is emerging as an attractive base for solar panel production. A 60MW line represents a meaningful entry point — large enough for commercial-scale supply yet manageable in terms of initial investment.

Production Line Highlights
| Equipment | Function |
|---|---|
| Laser Cutting Machine | Precision cell cutting for half-cell and multi-cut modules |
| MBB Tabber Stringer | High-speed multi-busbar cell soldering |
| Automatic Layup Machine | Automated glass, EVA, cell, and backsheet layup |
| Bussing Machine | String interconnection and bus ribbon soldering |
| EL Tester | Electroluminescence defect inspection |
| Laminator | High-temperature encapsulation |
| Framing Machine | Automatic aluminum frame assembly |
| IV Tester & Sun Simulator | Power output measurement and classification |
The line supports mainstream cell formats including M10 and M12, and is compatible with both PERC and TOPCon cell technologies.
Looking Ahead
With the EU's push for domestic clean energy supply chains gaining political and financial backing, projects like this Polish facility could serve as a template for other European markets exploring local solar manufacturing capabilities.
